Being a Derbyshire wedding photographer means I get to witness and capture some truly special moments, but Hannah and Tom’s wedding at The River Mill was one that felt particularly close to my heart. Not only was this a stunning celebration at a picturesque venue, but I've known Tom for 15 years, and over the years, we've shot countless weddings together. And as for Hannah? I had the pleasure of photographing her sister’s wedding about eight years ago. Seeing them again with their growing family was like catching up with old friends, making this day all the more meaningful.

What made this wedding particularly special for me was the personal connection I have with both Hannah and Tom. Knowing Tom for 15 years and having worked with him on so many weddings, it was an honor to be on the other side of the camera this time. And having photographed Hannah’s sister’s wedding eight years ago, it was wonderful to see how life had unfolded for their family. Seeing familiar faces and being part of their story once again reminded me why I love what I do as a wedding photographer in Derbyshire.
