Your wedding day - you’ve been planning it for months, dreaming of it for years. So much thought, planning and detail goes into your day, so you know you need the right photographer to capture every special moment.
…hopefully that’s where I come in!
Hi, my name is Bradley, I’m a Midlands-based wedding photographer who has been bouncing around wedding days in Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and beyond for many years!
It’s probably no surprise to hear that I bloody love a good wedding! There’s something so awesome about two people coming together to celebrate their unique brand of love, with those that matter there to be a part of it. Being the designated documentarian of your wedding day will never be lost on me and it’s a genuine privilege I don’t take lightly!
There’s a special kind of magic in the air during weddings, there’s an atmosphere you can feel and I’m most often found with camera in hand, poised to spring into action like a Formula 1 pit crew, ready to capture those little looks, once-in-a-lifetime micro moments and spontaneous dance-offs. You’ll probably never forget them, but it’s nice to have the photographic reminder for when you’re reliving your big day in the future with your spouse, your kids or maybe even the grandkids!
The way that I like to approach a wedding day is to be as unobtrusive as possible - it’s your wedding day after all, not my photoshoot! I strive to capture the ‘fly on the wall’ moments throughout the day, such as the first time you see your soon-to-be spouse, cringing at the best man’s speech and of course when the ‘party-mode’ switch is flicked later on in the evening! But we’ll also take some time out to get some beautiful shots of you and your brand new spouse, usually taking no longer that 10-15 minutes, getting you back to your friends and family as soon as possible!
It’s not lost on me that when you’re hiring a wedding photographer, you’re essentially hiring someone you don’t know to come hang out with you for your entire wedding day! While I promise I’m not a weirdo, I do feel it is important to meet beforehand and will always encourage a video call for a catch up before you decide to book, just to make sure I’m the right person for you
For now though, here’s a little about me;
Origin Story:
I didn't pop into this world with a camera in hand, but it didn't take long for me to become enamoured with the mystical realm of photography shortly after picking up my first camera in 2012 (a Nikon D7000! Look how chunky it is!) After ferociously photographing anything unfortunate enough to wander in front of my lens I shot my first wedding in 2014 for a friend (cheers Mary) and fell in love with wedding photography!
Originally from Derby, I’ve moved around a fair bit over the years before settling back in the Midlands. While I consider myself a Derbyshire wedding photographer I’m fortunate that I live on the cusp of Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire and I’m happy to travel further afield too!
I live with my wife, two and three quarter rescue cats (one missing leg) and an angry tortoise who would headbutt anyone to Timbuktu given half a chance.
When I’m not shooting weddings, I’m glued to the Formula 1 (Mclaren fan…), dragging myself up mountains (although my fiancé argues they are merely hills) or re-rewatching Friends…again.
